It’s Not All Fighting . . . But Close

The vicious hit on Steve Moore by Todd Bertuzzi was bad news. But I never would have found Hockeyfights.com had it not been for the tremendous amount of news coverage surrounding the unfortunate, felonious ice rink antics. God speed towards a speedy recovery to Steve and enjoy the sports bloopers.

  1. I think that hit was the worst thing I’ve seen in a long time. If that’s the direction that the NHL is heading, I don’t even want to watch hockey anymore. I know it might be blasphemy, but perhaps a strike isn’t a bad idea. The break could give the NHL time to actually TRAIN refs.
My thoughts & well wishes go to Steve Moore.

  2. It was a sickening thing. I can handle two players tossing off their gloves and going at it head to head. As players, they are perhaps prepared for that sort of thing. But a cheap hit like that from behind and then a follow up while the dude was on the ice is too much to stomach. I gave up boxing because of the blatant violence and mysogeny of the play. I hope I don’t have to go that route with Hockey. Where is my Cricket Rules handbook . . . time to learn a new sport.
