I love stories about Richard Nixon. The man fascinated me. I have spent probably too much time listening to the Nixon tape archives and read too many books about ol’ Tricky Dick. But it was such a fascinating time.
And now, 30 years later, the Kissinger tapes have finally been released. Much like his boss, Kissinger, Nixon’s Secretary of State and National Security Advisor taped and transcribed his phone calls. The recent tapes, reportedly, show Kissinger’s deep concern that Nixon was losing it and quite possibly had gone over the edge towards the end of his presidency.

I remember last year it came out he deeply hated and feared jews and gays. Then, just this week we find out he was mostly too drunk to testify.
Can you imagine the crap we are going to find out about Bush in 30 years?

I have a feeling Bush’s little mountain bike wreck may have had some grain liquor to contribute. But that is probably wishful thinking.
