You Tube Sunday: Say Goodnight, Dick

Dick Martin died this week. He, along with Dan Rowan hosted the cutting edge 60s and 70s comedy show Laugh In. Both Dan and
Dick are now dead – but the show should never be forgotten.
The show continues to make me laugh.

You Tube Sunday: I Am Not Worthy

Back in high school, I had a book on how to solve Rubik’s Cube and could do it in about 10 minutes or so. Sure, cheating, but the thing is evil and has to be conquered.
Recently, my boss tossed me a Rubik’s cube adorned with corporate logos. Fun to sit on the desk and mess with – however I have totally forgotten how to solve it.
This am, poking around I realized I am a mere noob compared to a six year old who solves in 37 seconds and a one handed solution (using just one hand to move the cube around) solved in about 17 seconds.
Wow. I suck.

Sunday Morning You Tube Meanderings

This is a solid montage and educational link fest about Gram Parsons, of the Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers.

I am a fan and if you like Alt Country, Wilco, Ryan Adams or even the Eagles, you should give this a click and settle down with some Sunday Morning coffee and have a listen. Elvis Costello covers his “I’m Your Boy” (Hot Burrito number one). I think Gram’s version is perhaps even sadder than old MacManus’s yodel.
And heck the montage features his gal – Emmylou – so of course I am smitten.

Apologies

Words can’t express how insane and busy my Friday’s have become. I will try and get in the habit of posting this stuff on Thursday night so that it is in place on Friday.
A scene from a typical Friday:

Libretto By Sir Mix A Lot

Ahh, the funny.

If I Were Gay . . .

It has been a few weeks since I have forced my youtube-a-google videos at you. So here is an installment:

The Naked Trucker And T Bone

Well, it has been a few days since I have given a bit of video blogging magic – what follows is a broadcast from Conan O’Brien from a few years back. When I came upon this on television one night, I was mesmorized. It is Tenacious D meets Red Neck Comics and it will haunt you for days.

Buzz

We had a guest speaker at a work dinner the other night. I had never heard of Buzz Sutherland, but really enjoyed his schtick. Through the wonder of the internet, here are a few glimpses into this new comedic discovery (well, new to me. Apparently on the college and corporate speaker circuit, he is a big deal.)

Click on the PLAY button. Or, RIGHT CLICK here and SAVE AS to your computer, and then OPEN after the download completes.

The above came from the source: Buzz Sutherland.com

This came from the web via You Tube but has been often attributed to Buzz, who performs a great rendition of this routine on stage.
