1. What film franchise had the best sequel?
The Godfather. Godfather II is an almost perfect film.
2. And conversely, the worst?
Arthur II. The original Arthus is a funny film and holds up after all these years. The seque? unwatchable.
3. What recording artist had an even better second album after their debut?
That is tough as there are so many artists/albums. i am going to go with
The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan – a masterpiece of the time “Blowin in the Wind,” “Girl From The North Country.” The list goes on and on.
4. What was the earliest cassette song you remember listening to on a Walkman?
Queen “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” I remember buying the Walkman and the cassette at the Craig KMart.
5. What’s a great song featuring the saxophone?
Gerry Raferty – Bakerstreet.
1. Weekend at Bernie’s. The sequel pushed the ridiculous to a new extreme. Who can forget reanimated Bernie, with a harpoon through his temples, being used to tow things underwater. Classic.
2. Mannequin II was abysmal. The only saving grace it that it featured the great Terry Kiser (known for his work on the Weekend at Bernie’s franchise as Bernie).
3. Elvis Costello with “This Year’s Model.” A complete 360 from “My Aim Is True,” it marked the arrival of a serious voice in music.
4. “Make it Big” by Wham.
5. “Who Can It Be Now,” by Men at Work. First one that came to mind. I doesn’t hurt that the saxophone solo is featured prominently in the video.
1. Batman Begins. Nolan’s trilogy is the best film adaptation of a comic and really did Batman fans proud.
2. Robocop 2. I remember seeing Robocop dozens of times in the theater when it came out, but the sequel was a mess.
3. I think The Stranger was Billy Joel’s second album. Regardless, I didn’t like Piano Man much, and The Stranger has some great songs.
4. Let’s Go Crazy by Prince.
5. A bit cheesy but The One You Love by Glenn Frey.
1) 28 days later. The sequel 28 weeks later was just as awesome!
2) Caddyshack, Beverly Hills Cop, pick they’re both fucking horrible.
3) The Go-Go’s Vacation was awesome!
4) I had the Star Wars movies on tape. I used to listen to them to fall asleep. Man those were easy days….
5) Bob Segar Old Time Rock n Roll
