The Friday Fives

1. What is a movie that is good for watching only once?

Blair Witch Project. Spooky the first time but once you know the deal the movie is kind of ruined on rewatching.

2. What movie made you a permanent fan of an actor, and what actor?

Peter O’Toole in Lawrence of Arabia. I watched it in college in Boulder during a revival movie showing and instantly became a fan.

3. What’s that one song can you hear at the right moment that put you in a great mood?

the live version of Springsteen’s “Rosalita.” Makes me dance a little bit every single time.

4. What are some movies that still mess with your head?

Some day after yet another rewatch, I will actually understand “Conception.”

5. What’s a great song that contains lyrics about finding, looking, or searching for something?

Easy answer: U2s “Still haven’t found what I’m looking for” which I will often hum or whistle when I am looking for my keys and wallet if I have misplaced them.

  1. 1) Agree with Roy, but I’d say it really wasn’t worth seeing it the first time.
