Although I’ve never been to New Orleans, watching the news has effected me greatly. This week’s FridayFiver has been hijacked in an effort to ask you all to think about what you have and what you may be able to give. The following list comes from CNN:

1. To me, summer ends when the kids go back to school. You can almost feel it in the air—the mornings are crisper, the afternoon light is less harsh. Although, I try to keep summer alive in my heart year ‘round.
2. IÂ’d much rather live somewhere that was warm all year, as opposed to someplace that was cold. But with that said, I can live with either. Short, dark days get me down though.
3. It’s a tie between Alton Brown, and Emeril. I mean, I do love their work and all, but seriously—I’d rather schtup Paula Dean than either of them.
4. For my money, there’s no better way than just to grease it up, and go to town. Nothing fancy, but get the job done, and move on to the next challenge.
5. Actually it’s funny you ask. Just this morning I had a dream where I was escorting Oprah to a wedding. She’s surprisingly well-groomed, but a no-nonsense kind of gal—even in my dreams!
