The Friday Fives

1. What size (twin, full, etc.) is your bed?
It’s King size. And oh so comfortable. I am tempted to back and crawl under the covers and go back to sleep right this minute.

2. How many pillows do you sleep with?
Well, embarrassingly, I have kind of thing about pillows – I love them. I have 12 or so pillows on my bed – although at night I usually only sleep with just three. And one of them has to be my Sobakawa Buckwheat Pillow – perfection – supports the neck and doesn’t get all hot at night.

3. Do you have a weighted blanket? If so, does it help you?
Nope. Just a comforter with a duvet thingy.

4. Do you sleep with any stuffed animals?
No. Well, I do have a stuffed Opus sitting on a shelf near my bed, if that counts.

5. Do you have to have the TV on to go to sleep?
No TV but often I will drift off with some headphones on listening to music.

  1. 1. It’s a king. Whether alone or with a buddy, I still prefer a queen sized bed–cozier and much easier to change the sheets.

    2. There are four on the bed and I sleep with two of them. Invariably at some point in the night, the cat will commandeer one for himself.

    3. No. Those are for millennials with anxiety disorders.

    4. No. Although my cat is very fat (stuffed?) and he might be serving the same purpose as a teddy.

    5. No. The television in my bedroom is rarely on for more than the five minutes it takes to check weather or a sports score.

  2. 1) King size, memory foam squishy goodness.

    2) bed has 4 but 2 are just decoration. I only sleep with one.

    3) Nope just a light quilt. I miss living where it gets cold and a good duvet comforter. But it’s just too damn hot here for that.

    4) Nope, two real animals. A 75 pound golden retriever and a 45 pound little Manchester terrier.

    5) Nope. But I do need to have a fan.

  3. 1) King memory foam with all the bells and whistles (or vibrations and adjusters)

    2) Two – one memory foam to sleep on and one squishy one for over my head.

    3) No. A weighted blanket? Weird. But in the winter and in the mountains, I do like a bunch of blankets on a bed, which adds weight.

    4) Nope.

    5) Not ever.
