  1. 1. I’ve grown to adore “Love Actually” over the years. It’s a flawed movie with many unresolved plot points, but overall it’s become a classic. I also think that “Bridget Jones’s Diary,” is a good contemporary Christmas movie.

    2. I don’t really care for Christmas music, so it’s hard for me to pick a favorite.

    3. I do not.

    4. It’s so hard to choose just one. I think I’ll go with the first Christmas where I was told that there was no Santa. My sister told me as much–I think I was four or five.

    5. Less Jesus, and more Mariah!

  2. 1) Strange as it may be, I am with Ed on this one. Love Actually means Merry Christmas in the British language.

    2) Grandma got ran over by a mother-f’n reindeer is a classic. BUT, recently, a friend put together a Spotify playlist (Cutler Christmas) and I heard “Santa Claus is a black man.” (1973) by Teddy Vann and his daughter Akim. It may now be my favorite song for Christmas or ever.

    3) No. And Christmas sweaters are the equivalent of Mother’s Day, a made up thing for capitalists to make a shit-ton of money on dumbshits. Now, Christmas ties, I have many.

    4) Hmmm, hard one. Probably the one (post-parent divorce) when my dad chose to tell me, my brother and my sister, that my Mom was a lesbian and how that was not right. Not only was that not my understanding, but it was none of his bizness, nor his to tell us. He lost many father points that day.

    5) Match Hannukah in the eight days of presents and celebrating thing.

  3. 1) I love Family Man.
    2) Springsteen’s Santa clause is coming to town.
    3) Nope but I ordered the most horrendous Christmas sweatshirt this year.
    4) 2008.
    5) Mire nudity.
