Friday Fives

1. What instantly discourages you?
I am currently suffering from Trump Fatigue Syndrome and am exceedingly discouraged about the fate of our nation. A year ago, I thought all would be fine and we could rise above this anomaly. Now, I am beginning to think Trump is is getting pretty entrenched and normalized and that is scary.

2. If you could shoot anything (fire, pudding, etc.) from the palms of your hands at will, what would you shoot?
Sunflower seed butter, one of my newest favorite things that needs to be shared.

3. What two celebrities do you often confuse with each other?
Bill Pullman and Bill Paxton. Easier now because one is dead, I suppose.

4. What was the stupidest thing “that kid” did at your school?
We had too many years forlorn teenage love stories gone awry that ended in suicide. Stupid. Sad, but stupid.

5. What are you listening to right now?
SiriusXM Grateful Dead channel: 5.20.73 Santa Barbara.

  1. 1. Treadmills. I really hate them and have had some unpleasant experiences on them.

    2. First off, I don’t think I’d like eating Roy’s palm butter. He might want to rethink that one. As for my answer, I’d like powerful lasers that I could use for both good and evil purposes.

    3. Margot Robbie and Jaime Pressly. Aside from the age difference, they do look a lot a like.

    4. I’ll have to hand the “stupidest thing” award to a teacher in my high school actually. She was an English teacher and the sponsor for the cheerleaders. On a trip, SHE BOUGHT BOOZE FOR HER UNDERAGE STUDENTS. Needless to say she was castigated, fired and had to leave town.

    5. A commercial radio station from Vermont.

    1. As far as the Mrs. Blaine incident is concerned, I witnessed said booze being distributed (did not partake) and have been ever thankful that I did not have to testify.

  2. 1) Going to work and seeing the way people use the ER as their primary doctor. The entire term emergency should just be removed from the name. It’s one out if 100 that even comes close to being an actual emergency, no matter how much the patient moans and complains. ????

    2) I’m gonna say that my answer is a bit distorted due to current life circumstances, but I’d shoot little nuggets of good out of my hands. Then I could pay for life without having the fear of how am I going to pay for it.

    3) Ray and Ralph Finnes I mean they’re brothers that look the same.

    4) I truly can’t even recall any dumb stuff from high school. In college there was so much dumbness that It’s tough to pick just one. I’ll go with the freshman that jumped off Hartman rocks, from the top, and landed poorly resulting in a few broken bones and an ambulance trip first to the Gunnison hospital then a transfer to St Mary’s in Grand Junction.

    5) the classic rock digital music channel on cable while doing fucking chemistry homework.
