I have this old pair of boots (suede “desert” army boots) that a lot of my friends just hate (apparently they are quite ugly) but I just can’t part with them.

  1. 1) A multitude of keys that open certain things that only get opened almost never.

    2) I have not “watched” any of my books, but I have not got around to fully reading the Bhagavad Gita.

    3) I have an unwrapped DVD of the comedy classic Overboard.

    4) My gym membership. I have a lifetime membership to 24 hour fitness at $49 a year. I pay it with hopes of magically showing up there consistently.

    5) My leather jacket from back in the day.

  2. 1. Store credit cards. It’s rare for me to venture into Nordstrom, et. al., but I carry the cards around.

    2. Like Tony, I realize that books are not for watching. I have many books that sit unread. The one I’m most ashamed to have never read was George Saunders, “Tenth of December.” I couldn’t wait to buy it and then I was never able to wade far into it.

    3. “The Prestige.” I bought a copy years ago when I fell for the old, “Why don’t I just come over and watch a movie,” trick. (It was the beta version of “Neflix and chill,” which is simply an implied booty call.)

    4. My LinkedIn pro membership. I really don’t get much out of it but pay the fee every month.

    5. First off, Roy’s boots are extraordinarily ugly. Like strapping roadkill to your feet and pretending that it isn’t revolting. We’re talking ugly.

As for myself. I have about $15,000 worth of neckties that I’m unlikely to ever wear again regularly.

  3. 1) I carry a really bright little flashlight in my car. I used to use it all the time now not so much.

    2) “Resilience”by Eric Greitens my reading of books of my choosing has dropped drastically since being back in school.

    3) I think I’ve watched all the movies I own, but I got rid of a ton of my dvds when I moved. Now if I want to watch a movie it’s streaming somewhere.

    4) I have cut. Ack on these type of things drastically. The closest I have is my subscription to grammerly. It only got used last August when I took the English comp class.

    5) I have winter clothing. I’m not saying I’ve never worn it but I don’t know if I’m going to need it anytime soon.
