1. What game have you spent the most hours playing?
Probably Suduko on my tablet. I can play for hours. And I am actually pretty good at it.

2. What is the most obscure/forgotten game from your youth that deserves more attention?
I recently recovered this gem is a recent move: Split Second, an early handheld video game that was absolutely great and part of a warm Christmas morning memory.

3. Without actually naming a game, what is your favorite game?
Two card decks, with limited cards, double up and then played in a fashion similar to spades. (Pinochle)

Atari’s Missile Command.

  1. 1) Stupid candy crush soda. It’s just Brian numbing and available.

    2) Mille-Bourne it’s a French Canadian card game where you get miles and gas for your “car” and there are pot holes and breakdowns. The winner is who gets farthest.

    3) roll the dice to determine the fate of your armies. Win with world domination! (Risk)

    4) Tecmo bowl, I get the bears with Walter Payton.

    5) Pitfall

  2. 1. Probably various forms of solitaire using decks of cards, my phone and tablet. It’s more of a nervous habit than true gamesmanship, but I try to make it challenging by switching games (e.g., from Klondike to Canfield, etc.) every time I start a new one.

    2. Seance. I remember that the game itself was very elaborate with a cardboard backdrop and a battery operated table that contained a small working phonograph.

    3. Random wooden tiles used to spell words in a competitive crossword fashion.

    4. I’d call for a chili cook off! Either I’d win on merits, or the poison in the chili would kill Death.

    5. I’m not much of a gamer. I did think Wolfenstein was very good considering the hardware limitations of the early 90’s. My nephew would sit on my lap and watch me play. (I may be to blame for helping create yet another potsmoking gamer.)
